The air-cooled chiller is a common industrial temperature control equipment, which can provide constant temperature and constant flow cooling water for the use of machine tools, laboratory equipment, laser equipment and rubber and plastic machinery. Air-cooled chillers may also have some failures during new installation or long-term operation. Generally speaking, the core components of the chiller, such as the compressor, evaporator, and condenser, will rarely fail. Faults in electronic control components and power supplies are actually relatively simple to deal with. The general user can quickly solve the problem after checking it. Here we will share some common problems and solutions of air-cooled chillers with you:
Failure to start the air-cooled chiller
-It may be due to a power failure, you need to check whether the power supply voltage is normal to avoid phase loss;
-Check whether the circuit wiring of the chiller is loose, and tighten the wiring connector.
The circulating water pump of the chiller does not work
-Check whether the overload protection of the AC contactor connected to the water pump is open. If the overload protection works and cuts off the circuit of the water pump, first check whether the power supply voltage meets the voltage value indicated on the nameplate of the chiller, and whether the impeller of the pump is OK Normal rotation, you can reset the RESET button of overload protection after troubleshooting these problems;
-Air-cooled chillers with specifications below 3HP mostly use a single-phase voltage of 220V, and it is necessary to check whether the capacitor of the water pump is burned out;
-If the coil of the circulating water pump is burnt out, the water pump needs to be removed and repaired or replaced;
Air-cooled chiller high pressure alarm failure
-Observe whether the condensing fan is running normally, if the fan is not running, check whether the motor is damaged;
-Check whether there is dirt or more dust on the surface of the condensing fins, which reduces the heat exchange efficiency, and flush the condenser with compressed air or high-pressure water gun;
-Check the refrigerant (refrigerant) pressure value to determine whether the refrigerant is overcharged.
Air-cooled chiller low pressure alarm failure
-Check whether the low pressure alarm is caused by the lack of refrigerant. If there is a leak in the refrigeration system pipeline, repair welding and add refrigerant.
